Reliance Jio closes free voice call to top telecom service provider in the country

Trai has tightened the new rules for IUC charges, which allow customers to pay 6 paise per minute to other networks.
But you won't be charged for voice calls over your own network.Jio competitors are under pressure from voice calls for Jio has been forced.But the free data geo customers will make voice calls to the same amount of money lost.Geo said in a statement that users will be charged 6x per minute for phone calls made to other operators' networks.
These charges do not apply to calls made by Geo users to other Jio phones, landline phones, or using WhatsApp, FaceTime and other platforms.
Incoming calls from all networks will remain free of charge.A Geo customer will have to pay up to Rs 12 for a 124 minute IUC call.In return, the user will get 1GB of data for free with Jio.You can get 2 GB of data if you have up to $ 20.

Jio users pay for voice calls for the first time.

Currently, Geo charges only data, and voice calls are free to any network anywhere in the country.For all recharges made by Jio customers starting Wednesday, other mobile operators will be charged at IUC top-up vouchers at the current IUC rate of 6 paise per minute.

In 2017, telecom regulator TRAI cut the Interconnect Use Charge (IUC) from 14 paise to 6 paise per minute.It was also announced in January 2020.Since the voice calls on the Geo Network were free, the company had to pay $ 13 billion to rivals Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea.
To offset the loss caused by the move, the company decided to charge customers 6p per minute for every call to a competitor's network.
